Cape Point - Cape Town, South Africa

Scarborough is located south of Cape Town. It’s away from the suburbs and is surrounded by a natural landscape which has been a conservation area since 1996. It has a residential zone with a serene beach from where you’ll have incredible views. There aren’t usually many people there, except during the holidays in December. The best time of year to windsurf at this spot is between October and March as there is more wind, although the waves tend to be smaller. The best wind direction is S and SE. It’s a big wave spot and the waves are very fast so it’s only suitable for experts. Be careful not to sail too close to the kelp beds as if you fall there, it's likely that you'll get washed up on the rocks.

It is a beachbreak near to the shore which is good when it’s small and a there is a pointbreak further out where the first section breaks in front of the rocks which has seaweed in the first section and various powerful sections after. There are rocks on the leeward side of the beach so don't rush as if you break your equipment you could end up on them. The wave is very powerful and the wind is side offshore.
